Today is the 40th anniversary of the Kennedy assassination. That was just a few years before my time, so the impact of it to me is more historic than personal. However, there is a 40th anniversary tomorrow that has a more direct if far less important note in history to me.|
In my teen years I was a huge fan of the science fiction show Dr. Who. Back then I boldly said I could not be stumped on any Doctor Who trivia question, and I never was. Now about the only trivia I remember about the show is that Dr. Who's premiere episode was the first regularly scheduled program the BBC broadcast after nearly 24 hours of special reporting on President Kennedy.
One historic world changing event, and one minor note in television history (Dr. Who did go on to become the longest running science fiction television show so it does have a claim to history itself). To me J.F.K and that TV show are forever linked.
