Nite Mirror
I heard Mom's main caregiver checked herself out of the hospital against doctor's orders today. I don't think I will ever know the full story of what's going on with her. From what I am hearing, she's going to be needing a caregiver of her own. So I don't see much changing on me being the primary caregiver for my parents for a time.

Moving on to other topics, some time ago I lost the custom clip-on sunglasses that came with my prescription glasses. Today I found them -- under one of the tires of Mom's car. The hard plastic eyeglass case I kept them in was destroyed, and the metal clips that held them to the frame of my glasses were all bent out of shape. Surprisingly their frame and lens themselves were still in good shape.

I figured I had nothing to lose and tried straightening those little posts to get them to fit on my glasses again. I can't say they are good as new. However, they stay on, and I will be wearing them on sunny days again.

I'm becoming more and more amazed at those clip-ons. They were missing for literally years and then maybe 4 months ago turn up again. Now they were missing for a couple weeks and turn up a little more ... aged and in need of some TLC. However, they found their way back to me and are still usable.

Finally in the category of mysteries never to be solved, while I was doing my nightly chores for my parents I looked out the front window and saw two cop cars double parked in front of my parents house with their lights flashing. I finished my chores (not even 5 minutes later) and was ready to go out and watch the real life cop show. It had been canceled and replaced with the regularly scheduled darken empty street show. I had seen that rerun before, and just headed back to my house without even waiting for a commercial.
