Nite Mirror
I have some long overdue paperwork I need to finish and get into the mail. So I'm writing this instead. Actually, that brings to mind how any action helps depression short term, however not doing the appropriate actions will compound problems long term -- I believe I read something to that effect not too long ago. Ah, then again just give me something shiny to stare at and I'm happy.

In other news, I see Chicago has a new sports team that played their first game ever this past weekend. It's that game that seems like hockey except they play it using butterfly nets instead of hockey sticks; lacrosse. The only reason I watched was because WGN radio hyped the heck out of it and said how lacrosse is the next up and coming sport.

Ah, right now the only fascination I have with it is that it is new, and I do default rooting for most Chicago sports teams (with that south side baseball team being the one exception -- the north side Cubbies is the only baseball team for me). Anyway, I'll cheer on the Chicago Shamrox and I am happy they won their first game.

I'm just not sure I'll be a very big fan of them -- field hockey with butterfly nets after all.

With a name like that (and considering my plans), I have to root for them!

I knew they played their second game earlier tonight. Just did a quick web search and found they won again. So the Shamrox are now 2 and 0 in the season, and leading their division by a half game (not that that means much this early in the season).

Better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick! ;)
