Nite Mirror
Ok, update time.

On Thr. the daughter of Mom's caretaker had her operation and it went well. I was thinking of them that day a lot.

Thr. evening I saw the movie Elf. I can't recommend it enough. Granted it's no Miracle on 34th Street, but it is prob. the best Christmas movie in the last decade or so.

On the pleasant surprise front, Gramp's Christmas Cactus has started it's winter blooming, and right now is the center piece of my cacti collection. I have a poinsettia that I got last year. It needs some work, but I think I can get it into shape by next week.

On Friday I found out that Dad is going to have a rather nasty medical test this coming Wednesday. He's getting a special diet on Tuesday in prep. for the test. I have a feeling he's not going to be pleasant to be around most of this week, and I am scared shitless I already know what that test will find too.

Today, Saturday, Mom kept me busy with errands for her. I had plans of my own for today. I was more than a little ... out of sorts, shall we say, for the entire day. I spent most of tonight reading lj, and somehow that's improved my mood. Well, I am past tired so I'm heading to bed.

Hope all goes well for your Dad's upcoming test.

With the power going off TWICE now for hours and hours (have not written yet about Jim accidentally shutting OFF the furnace) my lovely Christmas cactus threw off most of its blooms.

Hey as for Christmas cards, not to worry. You sent me enough already. I don't give a card to get a card. nuff said

Thank you for the wish about my Dad.

I don't give cards to get them either. Considering so far the only one I've gotten is from my bank and that one was addressed to my business and not me personally either, I think it's obvious. I did found the perfect card for giving out given how organized I keep saying I'm trying to become (you'll understand that comment more when you see the card. I'm going to try mailing it tomorrow if I can get to the post office).

Sorry to hear about your Christmas Cactus.
