I was thinking more along the lines of the old Chinese curse..."May you live in interesting times". Between not knowing me for half the evening (requiring my cousin Joyce to come over and remind her...why she believes Joyce at those times is beyond my comprehension...) and forgetting her father died 52 years ago...it was definately not a birthday I'll forget anytime soon.

I'm sorry your birthday was the kind of interesting it was.

One of my faults is I can be a thick headed optimist with things people tell me (although it does save me from "getting" a lot of sarcasm directed my way too).

Anyway, I knew you could well be referring to that Chinese curse, and if I thought more before replying I may well have realized the chances you were using "interesting" in a positive way was small. I apologize for being thick headed, and offer my sympathies for the day you had.

No need to apologize! I wasn't upset with you, hon, and in fact did get a smile out of knowing other folk use 'interesting' the same way I do. (smile)
