First the trivial, I recently switched from a dark roast coffee to a much lighter roast. Given how unobservant I can be, I didn't think I'd notice. However, my coffee definitely has a different flavor from what I was used to with the dark roast. I haven't decided which I like better.
With the new US internet gambling law, I think I'm that much closer to actually playing at a real life table. The local Knights of Columbus has a casino night fund raiser coming up which I may pay the $5 door fee to at least walk in and watch the excitement (and partake in the refreshment offered). Depending on the stakes at the poker table, perhaps give that a try too, but believe it or not the food and watching other people having fun is the greater draw to me at the moment.
I also noticed a televised poker tournament that I watch on occasion is coming to a casino near me. I looked on that poker tour's website and was tempted. However, the cheapest option was a $60 qualifier tournament for entry into the qualifier for the actual TV one. So to get on television I'd need to do well in 2 tournaments before I ever got to the main one.
Ah, I could spend $60 in better ways; Two bags of dog food for Fawn come to mind right off the top of my head (since it's getting to be time I set some cash aside and wander down to the far away pet store that is the only place selling the brand Fawn will eat).
Here I go again on my own.
Going down the only road I've ever known.
Ah, you finish that Whitesnake song, I've got places to go, and things to do -- alone.
