Cubs win their first home game today!

And Chicago is up for hosting the Olympics. Not sure how I feel about that. It's good for Chicago, I guess. However, I'm not sure I want that massive influx of people heading my way. I may not be in the city itself, however from what I hear I will be fairly close to where they plan on putting several events if they win the bid, and I'm sure my little neck of the Chicago woods will get some people overflowing into it from the olympics if it is held in Chicago.

In other news, I've been in my own head too much this past week and thinking thoughts I prob. shouldn't as well as ones I prob. need to concentrate on more. 'nuff about that.

I've also been dealing with a lot of Mom's stuff and one thing that we failed to deal with. It seems Mom missed a test she was supposed to have. For whatever reason it wasn't in either my planner or on Mom's calendar. Although, even though she didn't take the test, the hospital set Mom a letter saying she passed the test with flying colors. Apparently they were looking at last year's test results. Ah, that really gives me confidence in the local health care system.

A few problems of my own cropped up. It seems that Redbox is messing with how they bill me for the movies I've rented from them. I'll need to contact them. We'll see what happens there.

Also, that nation-wide bank whom I've got my newest checking account with decided Mom's address is where they want me to be. They sent a letter to Mom's house saying they think I live there instead of the address I gave them so they are going to use that address for my account. I need to go to the bank and talk to them too.

It just seemed a bunch of BS cropped up this past week basically.

Not much else to report, and if I tried I'd risk moving into giving you some whine. Since the cheese I have doesn't go with that kind of whine, I'll end this here.
