Nite Mirror
I just discovered a new way to get the dog in when I let her out.

I was standing by the back door watching Fawn with the door open. Now my backdoor has a doorbell. I don't know why, but on a whim I pressed the button. With the door open it was easy to hear the doorbell. I wasn't really thinking of how Fawn would react. She came running from where she was sniffing the grass. She was doing her "someone's at the door" bark as she ran past me going inside to check the front door.

I am very tired, but even if I was more alert I think I would find that funny.

How practical is that? :)
If you want her to keep it up you might want to give her a treat for coming in.

She already has a verbal command to come in when she's been out too long. It's not 'el, although at one time I was thinking of teaching her that. :)

'at's my dog. ;-) Umm... clicker.... you have one. Click then treat for a couple of days, then click and infrequently treat for a while. Then just treat infrequently for the rest of her days.

Nope. You talked about giving me a clicker, but never did. Don't really need one anyway. Fawn knows the word "inside," and when she's moving too slow she knows to hurry when I yell "inside now!"

I don't really need this "new way" to get her inside. I just wasn't thinking of her when I rang the bell and found it amusing when she ran inside to check the front door.
