Well, I'm using the first of the new icons I'm planning on creating. I just finished playing with the scrapbook feature too. Uploaded some pics for H of what I had done on the house and if I did it right filtered them. Maybe when/if I ever finish this @#^&(*# painting/repair project I'll post the finished pic's for everyone to see.|
I'm fighting off a mood right now. Ah, whatever.
Yesterday, I got up early to clean up my car some before taking it to the mechanic. I'm up even earlier today, and for no reason at all. Bah.
Anyway, yesterday, I cleaned off all of Fawn's nose prints off the windows and wiped some filth off the steering wheel some too. Amazing what just 15 minutes or so with a cleaning rag can do to the inside of a car.
Well, I made a side trip to mail some letters before dropping the car off. This took me past my local movie theater. I was surprised to see we're getting the Harry Potter movie this weekend. Seems like there's a bit of HP fever around here between the movie coming out this week and the last book in a few. I'll try to see the movie, although given how they can't compete with the books, I'm not going to have any high expectations for the movie. I am looking forward to getting the book when it comes out.
I've even see a few people saying they are going to be cutting themselves off from the internet to avoid spoilers until after they can buy and read the latest book.
Anyway, back to yesterday; after dropping off my car (and trying to teach the guy the trick key jiggle needed to work the messed up ignition lock), I walked to a fast food place and had my first breakfast since the last time H visited I think.
After filling my tummy, I took a slow 10 minute walk home trying to keep cool and staying in the shade as much as possible.
When they called and told me the car was finished, I walked Fawn over to Mom's, picked up one of Mom's cats, and got accidentally scratched. The cat didn't mean to do it, I just lifted her wrong.
I dumped some disinfectant on my scratch and then left Mom's to get the car. I walked a different route than I did in the morning. This one took me pasted the town psychic. She had an open sign in her doorway. She's been in business for several years now, and I don't see how she can make a living at tea and tarot readings. Judging by the open sign, she's still in business though.
I get the car, paying them more than I could really afford. Between the car and buying a perm. account here, I've already spent more than I budget for my monthly bills, and I haven't even paid my monthly bills this month. Ah, at least the car's a/c now works on the lower blower settings rather than my just having it either on high or off. Plus I've got new spark plugs, ignition wires, and oil in the car too. Looking over the itemized list, the ignition wires alone cost me almost as much as the labor they charged. I wouldn't have expected that.
I also got a chuckle out of being told they left the key in the lock so they wouldn't have to do that little jiggle to unlock the ignition. It does take a bit of learning to get it right, but I've had enough practice that most days I can get it on the first try. (Let's not talk about the rare days where my touch is off and it can take me over 5 minutes to hit just the right spot on the lock with the key).
That was my yesterday.
