Wow, I think I just went up against one of my automatic virus scans. Anyway, it took nearly 5 minutes to bring up this page. Computer seems to be running fine now.
The radio is talking the Cubs right now while I'm typing this. It's do or die for them now. They have to win the next 3 in a row to stay in the post season. I guess I can be comforted by the fact that while that kind of a comeback is bucking high odds it not only can, but has been done before.
Although, I'm not sure I can bring myself to watch tonight's game. I'm torn between wanting to watch the game and fearing how I'll feel if they lose and are done with the 2008 season.
Radio also said it's 56 degrees outside. I stuck my head out when I let Fawn out this morning. If I had to guess, I would have said low 60's more than mid 50's as the temp. here.
So I'm up, typing this, and sipping my morning coffee because I need to get to the bank for Mom before it closes at Noon. :::::stop to check the clock:::::: I still have plenty of time for that.
On the twisted ankle front, as long as I don't put weight on that foot I almost wouldn't know I twisted it. Um, very different story when I try standing on it -- still hurts to walk on that ankle, but it's definitely getting better.
H mentioned she'll try coming up here next weekend. :)
/em looks around and shakes my head
Um, as usual I've let my housekeeping skills slide more than a bit in this time that I've had the house left to my own devices. Got to do some work to do on that front before she gets here. :-/
It's late morning, but I still have the morning cobwebs in my head (I am *not* a morning person), and while I do have time before the bank closes. Between my ankle and that I'm not quite awake, maybe I should give myself some extra time to get there.
Mia maleolo doloras. (<--- lenru's dictionary lists dolori as a transitive verb, but I can't see how the definition "to ache," "to be painful" could possibly be transitive)
Basically I said:
in other words, My ankle hurts.
